International / European Welding Specialist IWS/EWS from September 7, 2026

Term: September 7, 2026 – November 12, 2026. The training is divided into theoretical and practical blocks:

Theoretical block: 7.9. – 10.9. + 14.9. – 17.9. + 12.10. – 15.10. + 19.10. – 22.10. + 2.11. – 5.11. + 9.11. – 12.11. + 23.11. – 26.11. + 30.11. – 3.12.2026

Practical block: 29.9. – 1.10. + 5.10. – 8.10.2026

Written and oral examination: December 14 – 15, 2026

Course duration: 249 teaching hours (classes held Monday to Thursday + 2 Fridays)

The course is intended for: welding professionals from manufacturing companies (foremen, technicians, inspectors), workshop supervisors, and instructors at welding schools

Minimum admission requirements: secondary technical education or vocational secondary education with school-leaving examination and 5 years of experience. In the case of vocational education without a school-leaving exam, long-term experience in the field and an entry interview are required according to EWF guidelines and TP CWS ANB.

Content: welding processes and equipment, materials and their weldability, design of welded structures, manufacturing and applied engineering, practical exercises, quality management systems, latest developments in standardization

Output documents: Diplomas “International Welding Specialist” and “European Welding Specialist”, as well as a certificate of training in ČSN EN ISO 17637 for visual inspection of welds (this does not replace NDT personnel certification; such certification can be obtained by completing the VTdw2 course at SVV Praha s.r.o. training center).

Graduate profile: After successful completion of the course, the graduate is qualified for the position of welding supervisor in accordance with ČSN EN ISO 14731 – “Welding coordination – Tasks and responsibilities”.

Note: As part of professional gas industry education, the course has been awarded 2 credits.
